The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has designated the Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB) to define the core technical requirements, equipment categories, and compliance criteria related to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). This initiative is intended to guide stakeholders—including government and non-government entities, agencies, organizations, and industry players—in ensuring that all internet-enabled products intended for use in Malaysia meet the minimum capabilities required to support an IPv6-compliant ecosystem.
SIRIM QAS International has been approved by MCMC as the Certifying Agency for communications and multimedia products within the Malaysian market.
As part of this framework, SIRIM has designated CNLABS to perform IPv6 compliance testing for products seeking market entry into Malaysia.
